04/07 Alonely
Our track “Alonely” is featured on Nordic Lounge Vol. 3. We released it under the name “Slug”.
The track is essentially about urban loneliness. And about finding a special someone that chases away the blues and makes you feel alive, amidst grey concrete, suffocating smog and the blank stares of subway travellers.
Now, there’s an interesting twist to the story. I accidentally ran into my next-door neighbour, Ben Kirk, who turned out to be an amazingly talented trumpet and trombone player. So we became good friends and started jamming together. Alonely is one of the results of our collaboration. Then Marcus brought his percussional skills to my home studio and recorded a funky conga set. Finally, Joanna came by and laid down some beautiful vocals on top. The vocal track is unreleased, but available for listen in the music player.

big fan of all your music. just curious, where would i be able to grab a full, unmixed version of alonely? i have the nordic lounge cd, just wondering if a version is available for sale thats not been mixed with other tracks.
